The public website
The public site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If you choose Light or Dark in the footer, regnant-theme is stored in local storage on this browser. Light is the default on a first visit. Choosing System saves an explicit preference to follow your device. It contains only the theme choice and remains until you change it or clear site data.
The first-visit notice sets regnant_notice=v1 when you dismiss it. This first-party cookie remembers that acknowledgement for 180 days. It contains no visitor identifier and enables no tracking.
Product videos load directly from Cloudflare R2. They do not use third-party embedded players. Requests for those recordings still expose ordinary network delivery information to the media provider.
The signed-in editor
The restricted publishing studio uses regnant_studio, an encrypted, HttpOnly session cookie lasting up to 12 hours on the site, used to authenticate the studio. GitLab sign-in also uses regnant_oauth, a 10-minute authentication cookie scoped to the sign-in routes. These support authentication rather than visitor tracking.
The editor saves draft recovery data in local storage so an interrupted editing session can be restored. That data can contain the draft itself and remains on that browser until cleared. These functions apply to editors who use the studio, not ordinary website visitors.
Manage storage
Use the footer to change your theme preference. Your browser's privacy settings can inspect or remove this site's cookies and local storage. Removing studio storage can sign you out or remove a locally saved draft.
Blocking storage does not prevent reading the public site, though a theme preference may not persist and editor authentication or recovery may stop working.
